RE: Test the hack from bugzilla

The patch seems to fix the crash when the game client starts. I tested the tutorial, several games against AIs and normal games and they worked fine.

This hack fixes game startup for me, though I have severe FPS issues on an i7 920 / nVidia GTX 260 computer, even using the optimization tips above.
A single custom game against bots I played worked fine though.

Thanks for the patch! That helped tons, you can actually run LoL with the following:

cd LOLPREFIX/RADS/system/
wine "rads_user_kernel.exe" run lol_launcher $(ls ../projects/lol_launcher/releases/) LoLLauncher.exe

Occasionally the patcher might stop at 0% or 33%, just close and run again. This will just use rads_user_kernel to run the launcher and skip it's (self update)?

I have successfully build wine and installed the ACE client, however I can't get past the starting screen. I can see everything that should be there, but no button works when i click on it. The system is Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit which creates the following output: pastebin.com/XRdv2kt5 .

Thanks for any tips.

I tried the latest patch on wine 1.3.29 and I cannot get LoL to run. It freezes just like before. vc2005 installed.
