the patch doesn't effect the launcher in any way, it only fixed a problem with the game client crashing upon creating games.

Try lunching lol wit this script:

copy FUR.py to game folder and run it with python3

This is the launcher from Broken Symmetry, modified for wine. I hope it works. There are still problems with this script, so don't expect miracles.
