sorry, I've misread your problem, and answered an incorrect solution.
what version of wine are you using?
that patch is for 1.5.3+
maybe that is the problem...
try with 1.5.5, it works just fine.
also, maybe some wine files are missing and the patcher can't find them to apply the patch. Try re-downloading or re-decompressing the wine tarball and try again.
