K. So I've added the two lines into the limits.conf file and set the soft and hard file options via the console, but when I try to change the number of open files via the -n option it says that option is not permitted. Sudo doesn't work either. I ran it in a root terminal, but I assume giving the root more open filespace isn't going to help wine run at all?
