Thanks for the reply. Later I'll try to swap out the main landscape texture of each theme with the Hell one, since I have a feeling the landscape texture causes this, and the Hell one is confirmed as working. If that doesn't work, hopefully Team17 won't mind looking at the mini-dumps to help flag down the problem, they're normally very helpful.
I'll also file a bug report a bit later.

Good news regarding this problem: the bug was actually due to a driver related issue, and a fix has been found. This involves using the r300g driver, instead of the r300, to run Steam/Worms. It's a bit complicated, but I'll write up a HOWTO now for any other Radeon users experiencing this bug.
