Other then fiddling around with graphics settings I don't know. Try and play the game in a window and/or keep the game fullscreen but run it in a wine desktop.
I have the full game now but am having trouble installing it, might give it a go on my work machine (another nvidia).
Oh and could you copy'n'paste the output just before the crash dump as well,
