I have the exact same problem. By installing FM2011 this way it always starts (previously it started randomly, some times it did, some times it didn't), but I can't see any graphics, not even the credits. I don't have a graphics card though... I have an Intel 865G chipset, if I remember correctly.
And by the way 'sh winetricks d3dx' doesn't do anything, since d3dx doesn't exist... I tried installing d3dx9 but to no avail.
