I get the same as you do, with both wine-1.5.0 and current git with and without the KUSER patch.

Just wondering if you got past this as I am getting a very similar crash.

Okay... what finally worked for me to get past this and get to the Server Select screen was a new WINEPREFIX and winetricking in d3dx9 and vcrun2008.

But now I'm getting the in-game error at the Server Select screen of Unable to retrieve Server List.

Getting there...
