Tried that, no success though, it seems that it just doesn't work on Ati now (well at least in Wine, in Windows on another machine with Ati gpu it works). Though it still might be gpu driver issue, as I've encountered differences in behaviour of Linux and Windows Ati drivers at work (working as game developer, graphics programmer currently) - especially on some extensions in OpenGL.
