I have the 2007 hungarian version on Wine 1.1.4, running on Ubuntu 8.04. Microsoft core fonts installed.
Setup finished successfully, the startup link was created in menu Wine/Programs.
But when I click on it, though the program seems to start (something is happening on the hdd, and I can see a title on the taskbar: "starting watchtower library 2007...") the program window never appears.

I am curious as to what steps you used, I just completed the same install and had a time with trying to get the program to start. Turns out it was an issue with the run time, vcrun2005 MS Visual C++ 2005 libraries (mfc80,msvcp80,msvcr80), specifically the "msvcr80.crt.dll" that was missing and I could not get it to install no matter which method I used except for winetricks and that worked. Many of my friends would love to divest themselves of MS Windows and if this can be accomplished in simple steps the more of them I can help to set free.
