It just dawned on me when I was setting up my .wine folder and I had installed Firefox I didn't launch it after the install. So I was wondering if this winebrowser %1 fix would be taken care of if I had launched Firefox and set it as my default browser so I deleted my .wine folder and started over with the above procedure but added installing Firefox, launching it and setting it as the default browser. After PartyPoker was installed I tested the menus and they worked just fine, without editing the registry. So the take home message is install Firefox and set it as your default browser before installing PartyPoker and no registry editing will be required.
