OK, just try to install SAM, but before that install AND setup MySQL, enter the root details at the setup window and leave the database name or change it to whatever you want (SAM will create this db automaticly with root access). After this SAM should work, just ignore the ton of errors.

Hello,
I have NEVER tested SAM4 with Firebird database but I know that even under a true Windows OS it tends to fail.
The HOW-TO on Firebird has been written by a previous (no longer) maintainer and has been kept because I don't want written things by others to be deleted.
You should use the HOST mysql-server.
