RE: Any ideas how to get the mic line to work?

Hi,
Not sure to understand your question the right way ...
(I don't use the buggy 4.2.2 version anymore)
With 4.7.4 (I believe it will the same thing on 4.2.2) running Ubuntu 11.04, supposing you stream from 'pipeline' :
- you have to select first the correct input in your native OS
- In SAM, under 'voiceFX' select 'config'->'mixer (record to pipeline)'
Then choose your 'record soundcard device'.
You'll have to copy 'sndvol32.exe' to ~/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/system32 to have a working mixer.
This works OK for me recording Voice from USB webcam or soundcard mic-in.
Old SAM versions has issues with VoiceFX anyway (delay, etc ...)

Would you please explain with more details what is your problem :
- Can you hear music from headphone in SAM ?
- Can you record from Mic-in in Linux ?
- Is your headphone problem only relative to the SAM 'Voice' function, is your voice streamed to encoder ?
If you need help, please describe the problem sharper and explain what works and do not works for you (hardware details from soundcard might help too).
