The way I fixed it, was by upgrading to the WineHQ Ubuntu files. 1.1.26 This fixed my problem where I couldn't log in via battle.net. You may also notice, in 9.04's Wine, that you wouldn't be able to see the MOTD or whatever it's called when you first log into WoW. The left side stuff that has server msg's etc... I hope this helps.
