RE: World of Warcraft Client Patch 3.2.2a

I wonder if this relates to the problems I was having installing the mini-patch. I eventually wound up booting into Windows and using the Ext3 driver to launch the game and patch it. It was giving "failed to apply patch" errors.
I think this is more something on Blizzard's end as there have been a lot of problems with this mini-patch that they released a few days ago.
You need to change the directory names to match your own, but this should set the proper permissions to your WoW folder 1 second after starting the Launcher(you may have increase this if you have a slow computer), and then exit the script. This should make the game launchable through the Launcher, and hopefully allow the installation of future patches through the launcher(hopefully the future patches fix this)

Running the game as root (using 'su') also seems to work, though it makes the sound choppy on mine. Probably not a good idea, the script sounds like a better bet.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
The only permission change I've noticed is that it changes the owner line from 'Read and Write' to '---' (in GNOME's permission's window)

My experience might be a twist on the same theme, except for starting from "Wow.exe".
Som observations...
Launcher is setting my Wow folder permissions to d----wS---; I can't even access the folder.
After resetting permissions (I used 2755, which was consistent with other drive_c folders), I ran the Wow Repair tool, which seemed to complete the patch (it did repair Wow.exe and an MPQ file).
Installer.exe still hosed the permissions, but using your bash script worked. However, I have had to steadily increase the sleep time up to 4 over the last 5 days.
I have tried "Wow.exe", which allows me to get to the log-on screen...but I have absolutely NO keyboard input, only mouse. So, I can't log in to play.
I may be missing something in my keyboard configuration; I normally use a Logitech wireless USB KB/Mouse, but even the laptop keyboard doesn't work. Xorg log does show it is (and has been all along) switching out the standard KB drivers, but I have no trouble with other apps, and did not experience KB issues with WoW prior to this Launcher patch. The Logitech mouse and KB both run through the same wireless HID
