I never had any problems downloading it, but it just wouldn't apply. The failed to apply patch error is apparently sometimes caused by insufficient write permissions. I don't really remember, but I don't think I re-downloaded the patch when in Windows. I just started it and it worked. I was in a patched state, but it kept trying to download it under Linux. It was very odd.
Booted into Windows, started the game, was able to login. Rebooted again and it worked fine in Linux. Need to check the permissions on my WoW folder when I get home and see if they're weird.
