Hmmm. That sounds rather unusual. In order for us to be able to help you please provide the following additional information :-
Linux distribution version
Wine version
Graphics card
Graphics drivers
Also try running wow.exe via the wine terminal command. It may provide some lines of code explaining what went wrong. Post the terminal output here in a reply with the extra info needed.
