I had an error when trying to run the BackgroundDownloader.exe, however Windows users have also reported a problem.

You need to run the Repair.exe to check the files then start the Launcher.exe

That cured it for me.

Background Downloader seems to be working now. Currently downloading patch.

Run Launcher.exe - there is a small update 10-20MB

Then run BackgroundDownloader.exe by double clicking the exe in the WoW folder.

It will run and DL the patch.

Note :-

This is a big patch - 4.45GB

For me the title is - "WoW-3.3.x-to-4.0.0-patch-EU-stage-2"...
