Indeed.
I would recommend moving over to wine 1.2 as it is stable. The 1.3.x wine versions are all in beta testing and hence unstable.
Also, if you don't have the correct graphics drivers installed in the correct way it could be the source of the problem.
In order of things to try I would recommend the following :-
1. - Completely remove nVidia drivers (then reboot) and reinstall using the System > Administration > Hardware Drivers. Select to install the [Recommended] one.
2. - If that doesn't work. Completely remove wine. Including going into the Home folder and hitting Ctrl + H to show hidden files and deleting .wine and .winetrickscache. Then reinstall WoW following the method listed here.
