If you are using intel graphics (integrated in most intel core i3/i5 cpus) take a look at the post "Intel HD3000 + OSS Drivers.". Otherwise try installing the newest driver for your graphics card and ensure 3d acceleration is properly set up on your machine (see the configuration section).
Next time provide some more information about your system (which hardware and what kind of linux are you using). Without those "basic" information you will get no help... crystal balls are too expensive, you know ;)
