How close to my setup you have to get I don't know, I did the wipe to be sure I wasn't posting instructions that depended on cruft.

If the game runs at all I think that means you've already got mfc42 and msxml4 installed so the winetricks part is done.

Since this solved the logout and fullscreen issues, what's left that doesn't work?
