I tried to do this, I changed my settings for pol.exe to Vista from XP and added the registry entry for "OffscreenRenderingMode" and set it to fbo under HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Wine --> Direct3D

Now the problem is POL.exe won't even launch, even if i switch it back to XP from Vista. :-(
