Alan, thanks for the advice. I will try that and see how it works out. I can't help but feel that there may be some steps that are missing from the instructions above. I have it "somewhat" working on my install now using WINE 1.19 and Ubuntu 8.10 after hunting down every configuration tweak I could find. It didn't work with the installation instructions above and it only partially works now.
Perhaps someone could re-write the instructions that are missing the steps that need to be done for a good installation? I can't imagine that my configuration is so drastically different from the norm that mine doesn't work with the instructions above, but everyone else's does....
