Awe sweet you did CD install with Wings of the Goddess expansion CD nice! I was wondering if the CD + WotG CD needed the Vista PlayOnline viewer from the Final Fantasy XI site. Sounds like it does so that is good info to know for those installing from the multi-CD method. FYI to those whom read this the DVD Vana'Diel Collection 2008 only needs Wine set to Vista no need get the Vista POL from the FFXI site.
Kinda nice having a virtually out-of-box install no real crazy tweaking happening that's for sure. When I first started it would take hours just to get PlayOnline to install and run right. I do not miss those days xD!
The shadow problems are part of the dynamic lighting issues that are yet unresolved. At least thankfully on NVIDIA cards they do not cause runtime issues in-game.
Going to start a thread on ATI cards, I am having a bugger of a time trying to get the one I have to run correctly.
