I think what he's saying is that the game was installed under 1.01, later upgraded to 1.1.26 and noting a performance increase. By calling it Gold, he's basically saying that it works if you apply a workaround to get around the regression problem. Problem with that logic is that it is still considered Garbage for 1.1.26

I've actually had no problems installing GW under WINE. Also it runs better on WINE for me than under Vista.
