Now I've just tried installing the game again under Wine 1.1.13, and it did so almost without errors. Only at the end I got Error No. -1603 which said something about MSDN. The installer exited, but I was still able to run the game. However, the graphics are still horribly off, even with Pixel Shader set to inactive and the native d3d libraries registered with wine. In other words, it's the same as back on Wine 1.0.1.
