And do you have a joystick or just a keyboard? if you have a keyboard delete this file. rm /dev/input/js0 (as root) This will delete it only temporarily and it will fix your issue. This device node / file will be recreated every time you reattach your keyboard. I found that some keyboards are being detected as joystick devices, which is wrong, and causes this issue.
