OK it seems to work when I have compiz off, virtual desktop 800x600, windows 98, and game res set to 640x480. I am able to skip the cutscenes by pressing enter as soon as they start playing (otherwise they take FOREVER). Surprisingly, audio works better than in winXP.
So now I'm just having problems with the video res and joystick. my screen is 1920x1200 so the 640x480 window is tiny. In the opening menu when I click calibrate joystick I get "file not found" and the in-game menu won't let me set the axis for acceleration.
