RE: No Audio in Star Trek Bridge Commander

Days ago I asked to a friend of mine if he can lend me a hand, and test Bridge Commander demo under Jaunty + OSSv4 + Wine (asked him because I know that installed Jaunty recently, and he likes to experiment), he replied that he was using ALSA but will give it a shot, so I'd replied, please test both then (ALSA, then OSS).
Today I got an email from him telling the following:
Have tested both yesterday, with ALSA Bridge Commander is working and sounds picture perfect, but I couldn't say the same with OSSv4, I got a lot of sound distortion, heavy background noise and almost all samples plays slow, everything sounds including music but not quite nicely though. If you ask my oppinion, is more an OSS related issue than a Wine related one.
Well, after reading his email, looks pretty clear to me that OSS is having troubles with BC, anyway I must say that I never had a single problem with ALSA.
