Sorry I forgot to specify Wine versions. I tried with 1.1.10 first but after that didn't work I compiled and installed 1.0.1 and tried that and still received the segfault.
I hadn't noticed the bug you listed and am looking at it now.

Well, this is somewhat depressing. I copied over msvcp60.dll and mfc42.dll from my winxp partition and with wine-1.1.10 and wine-1.0.1 I get the segfault.

Sorry about all the replies, keep forgetting to add info. This is a fresh install. I've never tried running it in Wine before as I haven't played for three years or so.
Judging from the posts on that bug I'm experiencing the same problem. Too bad.
