Sometines (maybe only for the first time) the game is loading quite long ... get yourself a coffe (two or three...).
If you see the same traceback as mentioned in the bug, the client.cfg should do the job as it disables the not needed "background downloader". For some unknown reason it crashes sometimes...but there is nothing you will miss if you simply disable it.
