I agree. Linux could break into the business sector's desktop environment a lot deeper if Outlook were successfully/fully supported in Wine. The reason being that MANY companies use Exchange for their email/contacts/calendar needs currently and although there are open source alternatives, it would be a BIG deal for them to change.
A good stepping stone for them to make the switch from windows to linux would be to start with changing the desktops and allow them to still use Exchange via Wine and MS Outlook.

Same here.
I am fighting hard time within my company to impose my views on Linux ; yet, without Office (in general) and Outlook (in particular) working, no one will ever listen to me. It's really close to working though, and I wish we were there...
