You might have figured this out by now, but over on Porting Team forums I saw that you can input a character name in game by pasting using control-v, after copying using command-c of the name in the finder. I haven't had any other keyboard issues, but some are saying that certain keys don't work in game. There are also the graphical issues, but the game is semi-playable
