well because i installed this on i think 1.1.38 why dont you go onto playonlinux, manual installation, pick the wine version 1.1.38 and see what happens

I got around installation problems by doing "winetricks dcom98" before installing. The game actually crashes after install if you leave this in place, though, so go to winecfg and remove the rpctl4 (or whatever it was called, it's almost that) override to play.
