There should be no need to reinstall the game after an update of wine versions. Only time this might need to be done is when wine goes through major changes, or a majority of your applications are not working while the tests say they should be. In which case it would be suggested to move the whole .wine(into a safe place in case a new version doesn't help it at all) folder out of the way and try a fresh start.
