It sounds like you successfully installed and are having trouble running the game. Did you upgrade to the latest patch? Are you using the proprietary driver? Are you using a fresh wine prefix? Have you tried other Wine versions? I just tested installing on a fresh Wine 1.1.39 prefix, installing the 1.09 patch, and using the game with the proprietary driver and I had no trouble whatsoever.
