Sorry I can't be more helpful, but the only thing I could see being a problem is your ATi card (the linux drivers are known to not be great, though hopefully that will be remedied in the near future now that they're starting to open things up).
I don't see this problem on either of two nvidia cards (a 6800 and an 8600) and I just verified with latest wine too.
