Ok, I used 2.0.1 from winetricks as you said, and it installed perfectly, but I still crash with the bug 9158. As soon as I enter my registration info (I own an original copy) it hangs. How did all of you playing the game to bypass this bug? :(
BTW, I'm running Jaunty and wine 1.1.30 (last version at the moment).
