I checked if it was a download/install issue. I downloaded the game from GOG on the Windows side (using the downloader) and the Mac side (using the browser) and installed it on the Mac side once from each using Wineskin. As far as I saw the GOG installer had no problems and finished the installation fine in both Witcher Wineskins I made. However, both had the save issue, both at Chapter 3 for me. I did also install the game on the Windows partition using the download from the Windows side and it does not have the save-game issue. The install on the Windows side works perfectly.
As such I think it really is a Wine issue. Just to dot t's and cross i's, :) which engine are you running? I'm using 1.3.13. I just want to ensure that by some weird happenstance we are using the same engine and that engine has the problem (not that I can think of a reason for that, but since I don't know what the cause is, I figure it is good to check).
