I was having the same problem with an error such as this. Do you have DirectX9 installed? I was having problems because DirectX9 does not work properly on Wine.
If fact, I've installed just wine (no directx file), and it works just fine.
Another thing you might try. Blow away your .wine directory (unless you have something else installed), and then run wineprefixcreate to create a new wine directory. Then try installing.
Use winetricks to install vcrun6 and CJK fonts, as well as the ALL fonts package.
