First of all dont install dx9. You should only copy single native dll-s if they are needed to run the game. Installing whole dx9 can make things worse sometimes, so its better no to do it. Try to run the game on clean wine prefix and copy just d3dx9_36.dll. Use this registry settings:

"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
"VideoMemorySize"="896" (video memory size value should be set to correct amout of memory on your graphic card, for GF6600GT thats probably 128 or 256)

and ofcourse mouse fix. For better performance use WINEDEBUG=-all, make sure you have latest video drivers, you can also set "High Performance" in OpenGL settings in NVIDIA X Server Settings. Use the latest Wine version (1.1.25) and check if the problem is still there. I hope this was helpful :).
