RE: Battle.net login crash

I get the same bug with vanilla starcraft. When I try to enter battle.net I see some buttons and text for a few seconds and it also completely crashes to desktop with no error. But in brood war I can't get on battle.net also, except that it gives me: "Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version" and does not crash the program. I'm using 1.15.2 latest starcraft version as of this writing. I'm using metacity window manager (not compiz) and have tried checking "emulate a virtual desktop" and the issue still persists.

Also a side note: I have the game Diablo 2, another blizzard game that uses battle.net for online multiplayer and it works perfectly so I'm not sure why this isn't working in Starcraft.

That could be the font metric problem, try adding windows' native arial.ttf and tahoma.ttf to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts and see it that helps. Had same problem, I did get some console output though
