hm... but the problem resides with vcrun2005 for sure (MSVCR80.DLL is vcrun2005) ... so you probably have to fiddle a littlebit with installing, removing, overriding this. There also should be a msvcr80 folder in the runes of magic folder, maybe take a look at this as well.
or maybe make a backup of the vc80.crt folder in runes of magic and then delete it, maybe the updater will replace it with a correct manifest... hmmmm... well... maybe someone else has an idea?
