1.1.3? Hmmmm....
Try downloading the latest version of wine, 1.3.x (not sure what it is right now, 1.3.3 I believe?)

I'm running out of ideas at this point, to be brutally honest. Also, try upgrading your kernel to 2.6.35 at least. There are issues with older kernels and certain games (ie: World of Warcraft did not authenticate with server for me, and it affected a range of versions from .33 to .34, late release. Upgrading to .35 resolved the issue).
I'm not really a developer, so my understanding of what the problem could be is relatively limited :( My apologies.
