RE: Please post your benchmark results

I don't have Cedega so I can't compare my results, but I can tell you what I get in Wine.

On a Core2Duo E6400 and an 8800GT, Ubuntu jaunty x64 and Wine 1.1.20, I get around 20-30 fps in game with 1440x900 resolution (windowed mode) and most texture details on the lowest setting. When the screen is full of zombies it might drop down to around 10 or so. This is a nearly stock install with hardly any tweaking. I don't know what I could get with possible Direct3d registry tweaks or what have you.

Not the best performance in the world, but I can definitely play a competent game; and it's way way way better than 1.1.19, which would crash at random and couldn't even start a game without +mat_hdr_level 0, which in my opinion completely destroys the atmosphere of the game.

Summary: Plays reasonably well for me with a stock install and nothing more complicated than installing via Steam, but performance is not transparent (compared to what I would expect on Windows), and some things are still broken, such as hitting any key bound to +showscores crashes the game immediately. I would rate it Gold.
