This is probably not related but I'm using 1.1.25 and getting the same problem but my cause was changing the registry settings. Maybe you should look in to that for a fix, I was trying to speed up F.E.A.R. 2 and witched OffscreenRenderingMode to fbo then I got that black screen :/ Now I can't even play L4D.
