I agree with you completely. In my mind it is only silver.
To mark this as Platinum does a disservice to people who rely on the ratings before buying a game.
For this to be platinum, it needs to work completely for the majority of testers, and without tweaks like overriding the OS to 98 for hl2.exe.
In it's current state, the MotD doesn't work, and voice only works to varying degrees for some people (it used to work fine for me, but currently even the mic-test button won't 'click' down on one of my systems). That's silver.

like most anything different people get different results. for me the only part of the game having a problem is the motd. somehow my ingame voice works better with wine than it does in windows. i read ur other poste 2 about ur fps drop and imo something was changed on your system. did you install anything else on ur system between the high and low fps tests. btw 60 fps is as much as an lcd is to handle so if you can run a stable 60 thats all you can really ask for.
how are you starting the game? do you leave the steam games window open?
