RE: Get it working under Mac OS X

When you say it works Oscar, you can confirm that Aion is really working for you on Snow Leopard, right down to logging in and playing.
I've also got Snow Leopard (in addition to the Linux box I initially got Aion running on), but Aion will not work on the mac, bombing out with unable to find oreans.xvd (more on that later).
If it's fully working on your machine I'd be interested to know what the differences are between your configuration and mine. In my case I've:
1. Installed Wine 1.1.29 from MacPorts
2. Installed winetricks from MacPorts
3. Increased the hard and soft file descriptor limits and verified these
4. Installed d3dx9, vcrun2005sp1 and dotnet20 using winetricks.
5. Run Aion as a regular user.
The one thing I did notice during my debugging (comparing Wine debug output from the Mac with my Linux box) was that DotNet20 wasn't starting up properly on the Mac leading to the Oreans.xvd error. I managed to track this down to DotNet20 not building a load of assembly files during DotNet20 installation but haven't been able to determine why this happens or how to fix it.
