RE: ATI bugs

I got an ATI HD 2400, Ubuntu Karmic, Dual Core, 3Gb ram. I will post some useful info here:
1.- As you said, the cursor has always an opaque grey box around it, so it's a fact, it is a fglrx specific quality.
2.- Exiting the game ALWAYS leaves my screen too bright, but instead of reloading X, I get access to the ATI Catalyst Control Center in system tab then I click in the "color" slidebar and it recovers it's color again, this info may help someone for making a refreshing method I guess (once I had this problem in windows many years ago, thats why I knew this way would work too).
3.- My game used to crash since the first city loading but then I deactivated or lowered most part of 3-d configs in the Catalyst Center and then it loaded me into the city, my gf is playing right now so I can't get more info about until tomorrow (she insists in making a sim but it seams to have some kind of memory issue and then it crashes, no error message or log file so i can't really know what's going on here)
I would really appreciatte if you could send me info about memory leaks and memory usage issues, I'm new to linux so I spend hours learning how to use it (I used to be a windows user since I was 6 years old).
