RE: Installing & Nvidia GT8800 - observations

Hey Asgaroth,
sorry to hear you have probs.
One question : did you use winetricks to install dx9 on a clean copy of wine ? - you need to use the "d3dx9" option, NOT the "directx9" option. Also, see wiki.winehq.org/winetricks for how to get the latest version.
From looking at your listing, you are missing some of the important d3dx9_ libraries, ie 37 to 41.
In my wine config, ONLY the d3dx9_ libs are overridden to native (plus dbghelp, but I have this in the Anno profile)
Before you do a new install of wine (easiest way to fix yr lib overrides), you need to delete all of the current wine stuff from yr hard disk - otherwise bits & pieces left in temp files can make life miserable. Have a look at wiki.winehq.org/FAQ section 5 for a list of the directories/files used by wine - you can cut & paste this into a shell script to make life easy.
One other note : make sure you don't override dbghelp until AFTER the game is installed !
